I love the Apple Cinnamon oatmeal, and I always make it in the microwave. I add 2 packets of Splenda, but I had to add sugar to regular oatmeal too, and it didn't have the nutritional benefits of this product. Oatmeal is not just for winter any more.

I'll admit right off the bat that I'm not a big fan of oatmeal. But, I've read that it's good for you, so I try to eat some once in awhile.
Since I like Apple/cinnamon, I thought this would be the best to try. However, it had a unpleasant metallic-type of aftertaste. I tried adding more cinnamon and also a little non-sugar sweetener, but it didn't help.
:-(

I liked this product so much, I gave some of it to my adult daughter to try. She also loved it. It is very close to the real thing, but has more protein.......

I have only microwaved this, but after reading the reviews, will do stovetop from now on.
The first time I tried it, I thought there was a bit of an aftertaste, maybe from the apples?
Also, it was too thin. The next time, I added a dash of cinnamon, about a T. of almond flour, and it was much better. The third time, I did the above, but added some protein powder to give it extra protein. Also, after it was cooked, I added just a dash of real cream. Yum! And it is filling. Much lower in carbs and sugar than the high fiber oatmeal at the grocers.
Would definitely order again.

I tried both preparations, microwave and stovetop. Hands down, the way to go with this is the stovetop method. The oatmeal bubbles slowly in the pot and when done, it has a nice creamy consistency and great flavor. When I microwaved it, it came out sticky and lumpy.

This oatmeal tastes great. I usually add some protein powder (which mixes in very well) and some strawberries.
