The Corn Chowder Rocks

The corn chowder is really good--and not just for high-protein soups. It has an underlying celery flavor, and when you use the recommended amount of water it has a creamy texture (I tend to use more water than recommended to make up for the higher sodium content (820mg!!), but even watery it's really yummy).
For variety, I add 1/2 cup of cooked and shredded egg whites and cayenne pepper for my own version of egg drop soup. So yummy!!!
The corn chowder is 120 cals and 15g protein. So, very low cal, high protein. Good stuff. But do be aware that the corn chowder is 820mg of sodium per packet if you have sodium issues. I limit this one to once a day even though it's so very yummy.

This soup is wonderful. It is not salty like some of the others. It blends easily. I love the Chicken and Rice. It has a very fresh flavor and the Wild rice gives a nice taste and texture.

good corn chowder

I tried all three flavors, and like the corn chowder the best! It is creamy and has a bit of a spicy kick, but not too much! I would recommend this flavor for a nice change from chicken-flavored soups. It has bits of corn, but I sometimes add a spoonful of frozen corn kernels. The mushroom tasted too much like paste, and I prefer the Bariwise brand of mushroom soup much better. The chicken & rice had excellent-tasting broth, but the rice was too hard, even if you let it soak and reheat after 20 min.!

An entree that delivers 15 grams of protiens for 110 calories makes this a winner. I love corn chowder and while not measuring up to real corn chowder, this is surpisingly good.
It will be ordered regularly in the coming months.
