The Bariatric Advantage® Multi-Formula contains the forms of vitamins and minerals that are known to be best absorbed and utilized. We have also chosen forms that are easy on the digestive system. Antioxidant fortification supports the ability of the body to heal and promotes health cells and immune function. Our formula is in two-piece gelatin capsules for easy digestion. We use a small sized capsule that is easy to swallow. The capsules also allow for the option of being opened into a liquid or soft food, which may be particularly useful in the initial post-operative period.
- Calcium citrate — The form most often recommended for bariatrics surgery patients.
- Natural forms of vitamin D, vitamin E and Beta-carotene — natural forms are the best absorbed and utilized by the body. We use only water-miscible fat-soluble vitamins.
- N-acetyl cystiene — this important antioxidant supports increased levels of glutathione in the cells of the body. Glutathione is the primary intracellular antioxidant and is important for cellular health.
- Citrus Bioflavonoids — Plant antioxidants that support tissue healing.
